Chapter 3 Summary: Major Elements in an Electronic System Chapter 3 provides a view of the primary parts that make up all electrical systems: Voltage waveform creators (antennas, waveguides and transducers); transmission lines (PCB traces, coaxials cable and ribbon cables) that carry the voltage waveforms; loads (MOS transistor gates, TTL emitters and ECL bases) that consume the voltage waveforms; and power sources (batteries, discrete capacitors and transformers) that provide the energy needed by the signal source to create electromagnetic fields.
